Implicit in CVA's mission of empowering Veterans to better their lives
and communities is informing Veterans of the many resources
available to them from both public and private sources and assisting
them in accessing these services.

Many Veterans remain unaware of the full spectrum of services and
benefits available to them.  One recent survey of Veterans indicated
that while the vast majority were aware of health and education
benefits, only 1 in 5 were aware of other benefits such as home loan
programs, business assistance and job training and placement
benefits.

CVA utilizes several methods of reaching the Veteran community:

  • Booths at community events to get the word out about
    Veterans issues and CVA's work.
  • Networking in the business, governmental and service
organization communities to inform people of CVA's mission.
  • Partnering with people and organizations all the way through
the military lifecycle - military recruiters through VA officials.
  • Online presences on social networking sites; Myspace,
    Facebook, Military.com, etc.

These efforts have the cumulative effect of reaching Veterans and
future Veterans in many phases of their military career.
